It is strongly advised to pay for any dog you wish to be yours immediately. 2001 – Kristen moved to St. Louis where she started selling CutCo knives. She left business cards with people while selling knives, and they hired her to walk their dogs. We have the goal of helping these dogs find the best possible home and make sure they receive the care and love they need. All of our dogs are living in loving foster homes throughout Oklahoma until they are adopted and placed in their forever homes. This process can take a day up to several depending on the amount of applications we have received and the amount of time it takes to receive vet records and videos from the applicants. Our team works as quickly as possible to review applications. Please note that applications submitted on weekends typically aren’t reviewed until the following Monday. Home 2 Home Canine Orphanage was founded by dog training and caretaker veteran, Kristen Duhr.

Fostering is also a great way for us to help more dogs find permanent homes by keeping the cost down for other families looking to adopt. When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. We provide an environment with proper amounts of physical and mental stimulation for the dogs. The cage free environments allows the potential adopters to see dogs in a more natural state and to choose less impulsively. Instead, dogs are kept in small, human-supervised packs to build and maintain good socialization skills with both dogs and humans.

All donations from the Fixer Upper level will go towards, well, fixing up! As you can imagine, we have all types of dogs. Until Joanna Gaines sees this, we need support from folks like you to help us keep our facility up to date, to continue offering safe and secure shelter to our rescues.
